We had a desire to produce the very best we could find in terms of unique LED lighting ideas, we have now started producing a range of clocks using upcycled vintage parts. This clock we have called "The Numatron" - It uses 4 plug in LED 7 segment displays which were called "Numatron Led". These were made as direct replacement for the glass tube Numatron displays which the LED versions superseded.

RCA produced the Original Numatron tubes, and these were used in Petrol Pump displays. These LED versions were also used in Petrol pump displays, to replace the less reliable Glass Numatrons, when they failed. These Led versions are extremely rare, they were only produced for a couple of years, being themselves soon replaced by other display technologies. We saw these a couple of years ago, and have managed to eventually track down a very limited supply of these unique displays. We have based our clock on a fairly modern sky hub box it was a perfect shape and size to house the electronics boards that control and operate this clock.

We have fitted a brightness control to the front to adjust the brightness of the LED displays. The Clock uses the latest electronics to keep accurate time, and it is also wi-fi enabled. It will auto adjust between BST/GMT (you can adjust the Time difference, in the settings menu). As Well as displaying the time, this clock can also be set to show a variety of different display animations, it will also'reveal' the current time in a number of ways. You can choose what is displayed and for how long, and you can setup a list of different displays, which will be shown in turn.

Simple configuration choices allow you to choose what clock display patterns to show and how fast or slow the patterns should change. Ability to get the clock itself to choose, it will cycle through all the different display pattern options, if you want, or pick one at random, or you can get it to do a combo e. Display a time pattern, followed by an animation pattern, then pick a pattern at random, then repeat the whole cycle. Once of the nicest features is the cycle feature which rotates around all of the different display patterns in turn.

There is a random pattern feature too that chooses a pattern at random, each time the pattern cycles round. You can choose how long each pattern is displayed for before moving on to the next one, and you can also choose the speed at which the display moves.
