This is a home made clock made with components that are VERY OLD, and homemade craftsmanship is very subjective. Read the description below carefully. This clock works fine and keeps good time. This looks like it was made with components from old Lectrascan displays that were once very easy to find.

It's actually made pretty well considering it is homemade. The tube is the Burroughs B-7971 tube. 4 of the tubes do have some darkening of the glass, see photos.

In the photos where the clock is operating, the four darker tubes are in the place of the hours and minutes. The seconds tubes are the best. It only affects the brightness slightly. The "British flag" segments have not been tested and it's fair to say that they may have some cathode poisoning by now.

It doesn't matter here as these segments aren't used at all. There is a very thick red contrast filter in the front that blocks a lot of the tubes light.

It is perfect for a dimly lit area like a bedroom. All major components of the clock are socketed, even the little transistors have sockets. There are 2 spare clock chips and one spare socket included. ONE MINOR ISSUE with this clock is the unlit segments of the tubes sometimes "ghost" or light faintly.

This not the fault of the tubes but is probably the circuit design. I tried to photograph this and it is very hard to see. You won't notice it unless you are looking for it.

THERE WILL BE TWO PACKAGES, PACKED VERY WELL. It is YOUR responsibility to reinstall the tubes in their respective locations, otherwise the tubes are guaranteed to get broken during transit.
